We are currently undertaking a full heating system upgrade in Budleigh Salterton on a property with a 100+ year old heating system and 27 radiators.
The original system was a traditional gravity-fed setup, which over time had become:
• Heavily contaminated with sludge
• Inefficient and slow to heat
• Poorly balanced across a large system
As part of the upgrade process, we have:
• Converted and pressurised the heating system
• Prepared the system for a full power flush
• Checked overall system condition and integrity
This stage is critical when upgrading older systems, as it allows us to properly clean and prepare the pipework before installing a new boiler.
Without proper preparation, sludge and debris can quickly damage a new boiler and reduce efficiency.
The next stage of this project will include:
• Full power flush of all 27 radiators
• Installation of a new, high-efficiency boiler
• System protection and optimisation
