This week I passed my F-Gas Category 1 qualification with Channy Cool Ltd in Plymouth. It means SAFEXE can now install, service, maintain and repair air conditioning.
To be honest, it was one of the hardest courses I’ve done. A lot of technical knowledge in a short time, and plenty of late nights studying after work. If the smile in the photo looks a bit forced and the eyes a bit red, that’s why. It was worth it.
Why air conditioning, and why now
Newer and better-insulated homes hold heat. Upstairs bedrooms, loft conversions and south-facing rooms can get uncomfortable in summer. A modern system is an air-to-air heat pump: it cools in summer, heats efficiently in winter and runs quietly enough for a bedroom. The most common places we fit it are bedrooms, home offices, garden rooms and loft conversions.
