New homeowners in Exmouth had moved in to find the heating didn’t work. The boiler had reportedly been serviced before the sale, and the thermostat and programmer had both already been replaced. Still no heating.
What we found
The wiring centre had been wired wrong. Several cables were on the wrong terminals and the wire colours weren’t consistent, so only the hot water side could ever run.
We traced every cable, rebuilt the wiring centre correctly and had the heating running within a couple of hours. For bigger electrical jobs we work with AW Electrical in Exmouth, but this one we could sort on site.
