If your Worcester boiler hasn’t had a full strip-down in the last few years, it’s probably due one. It goes well beyond a standard safety check.
What a strip-down involves
- Removing and cleaning the main heat exchanger.
- Stripping, inspecting and cleaning the burner and electrodes.
- Checking the gas valve, fan and flue parts.
- Replacing the burner seal and gaskets where needed.
- Reassembling, then flue gas analysis and checks on pressure and safety controls.
How often?
Worcester recommend a service every year. A full strip-down is worth doing every three to five years depending on use, or sooner if the boiler is over five years old, has lost efficiency or keeps having on-off faults.
We service all Worcester models, including the Greenstar range and the 8000. Servicing is £100 + VAT for the first hour; any parts beyond the standard seals are agreed with you first. See boiler servicing and repairs and work in Exmouth.
