The customer in Exmouth had a boiler that kept losing pressure and wasn’t heating well. Fault-finding showed a split main heat exchanger.
That’s a serious fault: it leaks inside the boiler and gets worse. But it didn’t mean a new boiler. We replaced the heat exchanger, which cost the customer far less.
What we did
- Diagnosed the fault.
- Drained down and removed the split heat exchanger.
- Fitted a new manufacturer-approved heat exchanger.
- Refilled, repressurised and ran full safety and operating checks.
