A customer’s boiler kept playing up. When we investigated, there were two separate faults working together.
What we found
- The condensate and waste pipe were blocked, so the boiler couldn’t drain and kept shutting down.
- The expansion vessel had failed, so the system pressure was swinging up and down as the water heated and cooled.
What we did
We cleared the blockage and replaced sections of pipe where needed so it drains properly, fitted a new expansion vessel, and then tested the boiler and heating system.
