Heat Pump Installation Cost in East Devon

If you’re looking into a heat pump, the first question is usually what it will really cost once everything is included. The honest answer is that it depends on your house, and anyone quoting a flat price without looking at it is guessing.

What affects the price

  • The size of the house and how much heat it loses.
  • Whether radiators and pipework need upgrading. This is often the biggest factor.
  • Insulation, a new hot water cylinder, and any electrical work.

How we price

Send us your postcode and house number. We look up your EPC and come back with a guide price. If you’re happy with that, the next step is a paid heat loss calculation (the fee comes off the final price if you go ahead), then a written quote with the grant shown.

The grant

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme gives £7,500 off an air source heat pump for eligible homes, or up to £9,000 if you’re replacing oil or LPG (until March 2027). It comes off the price up front, with nothing to pay back. Design checks, MCS certification and the grant paperwork are handled through our accredited MCS partner.

Heat pump or gas boiler?

A heat pump suits you if you want lower-carbon heating, plan to stay put, and the house can be made ready. A gas boiler may still be the better call if big upgrades aren’t practical or you need the lowest upfront cost. We fit both, so we’ll tell you which makes sense.
